Delco Curler Taylor Anderson-Heide Heading To Olympic Semifinals

Delco's Olympian curler is heading to the semifinals after defeating Switzerland 7-6 Thursday. The team will face Switzerland again Friday.

BROOMALL, PA — Delaware County's Taylor Anderson-Heide is another step closer to securing a medal at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Anderson-Heide, along with Tabitha Peterson and Tara Peterson, advanced to the semifinals in women's curling Thursday.

The trio defeated Switzerland 7-6 in an extra ends victory in the preliminary round Thursday, sending them to the final four teams in the event.

They will take on Switzerland again in the semifinals Friday.

So far, the women's curling team — which also includes Cory Thiesse and Aileen Geving — have defeated Korea (8-4), Canada (9-8), Japan (7-4), China (6-5), Denmark (10-3), and Switzerland. They've fallen to Sweden (9-4), Italy (7-2), and Great Britain (8-7).

Anderson-Heide, 30, is a Marple Newtown High School graduate who grew up curling with her twin sister, Sarah, and parents Wayne and Arlene Anderson. She honed her skills at the Philadelphia Curling Club in Paoli.

Her career highlights include gold medals at the U.S. Women's Championships in 2019, 2021, and 2021; gold at the 2025 U.S. Olympic trials; and silver at the 2016 World Junior Championships in Copenhagen with Sarah, among other silver and bronze medal placements.

She is a five-time national champion, twice in mixed doubles with Korey Dropkin in 2015 and 2018, twice in women’s curling on a team with Sarah in 2019 and 2021, and once in 2025 as the lead for the Peterson sisters, on a team with two-time Olympian Tabitha Peterson as skip.

Anderson-Heide lives in Minneapolis and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
