Cars Stolen, Broken Into In Marple Township: Police
Police in Marple are reporting thefts of vehicles as well as thefts from vehicles over the past several days, echoing other departments.
BROOMALL, PA — Police in Marple Township are joining other nearby departments in alerting the public to vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles.
According to police, there have been a rash of vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles during the nighttime.
Police also said a number of smash-and-grab thefts from vehicles have occurred during the daytime.

Most of those incidents occurred in park parking lots, police said.
"We do not believe the actors in both styles of thefts are the same," police said.

Police urge residents to lock vehicles, keep valuables out of view when in vehicles, and to not leave vehicle keys inside them.
Newtown Township and Springfield Township police have reported similar crimes over the recent days.
