Delaware County Man, 63, Facing Child Pornography Charges
John Porter of Marple Township has been charged by indictment, the United States Attorney announced.

A 63-year-old Delaware County man is facing child pornography charges.
John Porter of Marple Township has been charged by indictment with one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, United States Attorney Zane David Memeger said. The indictment alleges that on July 24, 2014 and June 3, 2015, Porter received and possessed images of child pornography.
If convicted, Porter faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison with a maximum possible sentence of 30 years in prison, supervised release, a $200 special assessment, and a possible fine, Memeger said.

According to Memeger, the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, visit www.projectsafechildhood.gov.
