Delco Firefighter Dies In Car Accident
Scott Jones, 33, died in a two-car accident in Edgmont early Saturday morning.

A firefighter from Delaware County died in a two-car accident on Saturday.
Scott Jones, a 33-year-old Aston resident, was killed in the crash, which happened around 3:20 a.m. on North Middletown Road in Edgmont. Another man was injured in the crash.
Jones was a firefighter and paramedic with the Newtown Square Fire Company and also a staff member of the Media Fire Hook and Ladder Company, the organizations confirmed via Facebook.

“On behalf of the Officers, Members and Employees of the Media Fire Company, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of career staff member Scott Jones. Scott passed away early this morning. Scott has been a valued member of our career staff for many years. Please keep Scott and his family in your thoughts and prayers,” said Media Fire Company Chief Edward Gibson III.
The investigation into the crash continues. State police ask anyone with information to call the Media barracks at 484-840-1000.
