Delco Man Had 100s of Grams Of Cocaine: District Attorney

Authorities said a Chester man is behind bars after he allegedly had more than 300 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Delaware County man is facing felony drug charges after allegedly being caught with hundreds of grams of cocaine recently.

District Attorney Katayoun Copeland said Phillip Wright, aka "Philly Moe," 50, of Chester, was hit with drug trafficking charges after allegedly possessing 334 grams of cocaine, distributing drugs, possessing paraphernalia, and $12,875 in cash.

Wright is facing charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, the DA's office said.

Wright was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post bail and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 2.

On April 23, authorities executed a search warrant at Wright's Chester residence. Wright was located in the bedroom of his home, and had an electronic home ankle monitor on his person from the Delaware County Probation Division.

As a result of the search, law enforcement officers located approximately 334 grams of cocaine, a digital scale with cocaine residue, unused bagging materials, two bottles of a cocaine cutting agent, rubber gloves, protective face masks, and cocaine packaged for distribution.

As the search continued, police located $630 on Wright along with $12,245 in an air fryer in the kitchen. Also confiscated in the search were three cell phones and a police scanner.
