Gov. Wolf Visits Newtown Square Company

Wolf was in Delaware County to learn about SAP North America's expansion that will create more than 100 jobs in the area.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – Gov. Tom Wolf was in Delaware County recently, as he was learning more about SAP North America's expansion that will bring more than 100 new jobs to the Newtown Square area.

Wolf, State Sen. Tom McGarrigle, State Rep. Chris Quinn, and Delaware County Councilman Dave White met with SAP North America President Jennifer Morgan and SAP executives to discuss the expansion Thursday.

The company plans to add new jobs at its U.S. headquarters in Newtown Square as well as expand throughout the state.

The expansion will bring 150 new full-time jobs to Newtown Square over the next three years, buildings its 3,305-employee workforce in Pennsylvania.

"Since opening its national headquarters in Newtown Square in 1988 SAP has grown to become one of the major employers in the county and has helped drive a significant amount of economic activity in the region's tech sector," White said. "Delaware County Council is proud that Delaware County is the home of the U.S. corporate headquarters for one of the world's largest software companies. We value our strong relationship with SAP and are thrilled that they continue to invest in and add new jobs in Delaware County."

Staff at the Newtown Square location include sales, marketing, administrative, customer support, software development and more.
