Green Business Coalition Pledge Program coming to Newtown Square
On March 16, 2023. No, it's not for St. Patrick's Day

Newtown Township Board of Supervisors and its Environmental Advisory Council will roll out the Sustainable Newtown Square - Green Business Coalition Pledge Program at the Newtown Square Business Association (NSBA)-EAC Luncheon at Teca Restaurant on March 16 at 12 PM.
The Sustainable Newtown Square – Green Business Coalition is a free program sponsored by Newtown Township for businesses that pledge to environmentally sustainable practices and give back to the community. This is a 100% voluntary and non-binding program that helps to:
1. Educate businesses on environmentally sustainable practices.

2. Reward and recognize those businesses who have taken steps to be good stewards of their community and environment.
3. Encourage residents to buy local and consume responsibly.

The speakers at this event include:
· Francine Locke, Chief Sustainability Officer, Delaware County
· Leonard Altieri, III Esq, Chairman, Newtown Township Board of Supervisors
· Municipal, County, and State Representatives
· Paul Seligson, Chairman, NSBA
In addition, Newtown Township businesses that were early adapters and have taken the Green Business Coalition Pledge will be spotlighted for their Green Business Practices. This list includes: Boiron USA, SAP America, Dunwoody Retirement Village, Garrett Williamson Foundation and more.
