Gym Hosting Rowing Event In Honor Of Late Newtown Police Sergeant
The event will pay tribute to the late Clinton Cunningham and raise money for a group that supports children who have lost parents.
NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — A Newtown Square gym is getting ready to host a fundraiser and awareness event that will task participants with a marathon of rowing.
Paul Bunyan Fitness in Newtown Square is hosting PBF Row for a Reason from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3.
The event is in honor of the late Newtown Township Police Sgt. Clinton Cunningham, who died at just 37 years old from a brain hemorrhage on March 19, 2018 while he was working out off duty.

Money raised at the event will help support not only Cunningham’s family, but also other families who are dealing with a similar loss, through a donation to "Brave Hearts for Strong Minds," which provides support for children who lost parents.

Teams of six (male, female, or co-ed) will be tasked with rowing 42,195 meters as fast as possible, while dividing the work equally anyway they like.

Cunningham was a five-year member of the force and previously served with the Philadelphia Police Department.
He is survived by four young children and his wife Kelly.
