Human Remains Found By Hikers At Park In Delco: Police

Authorities are seeking information as they investigate the incident.

UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA — An investigation is underway after two hikers found human remains Friday afternoon at Ridley Creek State Park.

The hikers called Upper Providence Township Police after discovering the remains around 12:30 p.m. at the park, near 71 Chapel Hill Rd.

Police went to the scene and called in the Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office, which confirmed they were human remains.

State Police are leading the investigation, since it happened in a state park.
