Making Your Home Stand Out

When taking the big step of selling your home, it is important to stand out among the competition. Even in a low-inventory situation (lots of buyers and not enough homes), your agent can make all the difference by the choices he or she makes in marketing your home. Everyone takes photographs, but are the photographs clear and attractive, or fuzzy and blah? Will your agent give you real feedback about your home, to help prepare you in advance to show it in its best light? I hope so!

There is a new service in the region that I feel takes marketing to the next level. It is called TruPlace, and has been very active in the Maryland and DC areas. TruPlace not only takes professional photographs of your home, they also measure and create accurate floor plans of the property so that prospective buyers can take a virtual tour before setting foot on site! This can really make a difference when selling your house, especially in our region, where buyers are often relocating from elsewhere and need to narrow down their choices before looking at homes.

I’m sharing a link to a TruPlace listing from my office at Century 21 Alliance, to give you an idea of how the service looks. As you’ll see, it’s very interactive. If you are preparing to sell your home, and are interested in inviting me to your home for a comparative market analysis, I am offering a TruPlace package for all homes that meet our office criteria- meaning that I will cover the cost myself! Please don’t hesitate to contact me via my website, email, or phone. I often work remotely, so for calling, I recommend my direct number.
