Marine Corps League Cleans Bishop Hollow Road

This morning, Sunday June 8, 10 members of the Gen. Smedley D. Butler Detachment, Marine Corps League, headquartered in Newtown Square, completed its 2nd of 4 scheduled Adopt-a-Highway litter pick ups for 2014 along Bishop Hollow Road from West Chester Pike to Gradyville Road. In addition, 7 family members including 2 children participated. In all, 18 bags of litter were collected and disposed by the Detachment. As can be seen from the attached photo of the PennDOT sign at Gradyville Road, the Detachment has been voluntarily providing this Adopt-a-Highway service to the residents of Bishop Hollow Road for 20 years; more accurately for 21 years since 1993. We intend to continue doing so for our neighbors for the next 20 years.
