The district's academic calendar has not changed with the planned closure, but the district said other factors such as winter weather could force the calendar to change should the district close another day this year.
Nearby, Upper Darby and Springfield school districts have said they will close Thursday. All Philadelphia public schools and Archdiocese of Philadelphia schools, including Archdiocese schools in the suburbs, are closed Thursday.
