Piano, Clarinet, Flute and Sax
These private lessons, taught by local professional instructors, are designed for students six years of age and above. They will be conducted at the Gauntlett Community Center. All lessons are one half hour in length and will meet on Wednesdays between 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Each session runs for ten weeks. Woodwind instruments include the clarinet, flute and saxophone. Those students must provide their own instruments. Beginner woodwind students are asked to bring the Rubank Elementary Method for their respective instrument to each lesson. Beginner piano students should bring either the study methods by Thompson, Aaron or Fletcher to each lesson. Advanced music students are asked to bring any recent music books they have studied. Study materials (children should get the children's edition) can be purchased at any music store. Once scheduled, the lessons are not transferable between days. Missed lessons by choice of the participants generally will not be made-up. Please notify the recreation office (610-353-2326) in advance if you expect to miss a lesson.

Guitar Lessons:
Private lessons will be conducted at the Gauntlett Community Center on Monday evenings between 5:30pm and 8:30pm beginning April 8. All lessons are one half hour in length and are open to students ages 6 and above (beginner to intermediate level players). Styles available include rock, blues, country, finger picking, smooth jazz and bluegrass. Instructor Tom Caywood's philosophy is that everybody has their own personality and level at which learning takes place and his methods mold themselves to fit each student's needs. Learning an instrument does not have to be tedious or difficult - having fun is key in making the learning experience that much more worthwhile. Students must provide their own guitar.
