Police: Newtown Square Man Victim of Driveway Scam

A Newtown Square man has reported to police that he was the victim of a scam.

The victim told police that a man knocked on the door of his home, offering to clean and seal the driveway, Delco News Network reported.

The man claimed that he had done work in the neighborhood and had leftover materials, Delco News Network said.

The victim wrote the man a check for $540, which was cashed, but he later discovered that the work had not been completed as promised, Delco News Network said.
