Scouting Adventure Day Planned in Broomall's Veterans Park

Join us from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, for this free event to experience the adventure of Scouting.

On Sunday, September 21, Broomall’s Veterans Park will host Scouting’s Family Adventure Day. Participants will get a hands-on flavor of the adventure that is Scouting from local Packs and Troops. The event is free to all and runs from 1-4pm.

Can you navigate with a compass? Tie a knot? Start a fire without a match? Walk across a rope bridge? As part of the Adventure Day, there will be hands-on activies to challenge you to work as a team, teach you something new, or give you an adventure that is typical of the Scouting experience.

Each station will be hosted by one of our local units with their youth and adult members running their adventure. Volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions, and, if you are interested, help you find a Scouting unit.

The event is being hosted by the Boy Scouts of America’s Constellation District -- the local division that supports their more than 1,200 youth members in the Haverford, Lower Merion, Marple-Newtown and Radnor School Districts.
