The project gave students hands-on experience while adding lit, eye-catching signage to greet residents and visitors at night.

• With PIAA girls volleyball expanding to 6 classes, Butler County teams prepare for big shakeups (butlereagle.com) — Mars volleyball fans will see big changes this fall as the PIAA expands girls volleyball to six classes, moving Mars up to Class 5A and separating the Planets from longtime section rivals Knoch and Freeport. Butler County teams, including Mars, now face new sections, playoff paths, and some longer road trips.
