Mechanicsburg to host East Coast's largest, longest-running street fair (cpbj.com) — Downtown Mechanicsburg will be packed this Thursday for the 96th Annual Jubilee Day, billed as the East Coast’s largest, longest-running one-day street fair. About 300 vendors, live music on two stages, a petting zoo, and free shuttle buses from Mechanicsburg High School and Immanuel Church will help welcome an expected 70,000 visitors to support local businesses and community groups.

2. ā€˜Difficult decision': 21 closings in Pa. include restaurants, warehouses, and more (pennlive.com) — A statewide roundup of business closures includes Quality Packaging Specialists International shutting its Mechanicsburg facility on Independence Avenue, with 83 local jobs to be cut in early July. The company cites declining business volume for the Mechanicsburg closure, while other listed shutdowns span banks, warehouses, restaurants, and manufacturers across Pennsylvania.

Waggoner Named Assistant Coach for Navy Men's Basketball (navysports.com) — A Mechanicsburg native is moving up the college basketball ranks as Austin ā€œBoā€ Waggoner, a Cumberland Valley High School graduate, has been named an assistant coach for Navy men’s basketball.
