100-Mile-Per-Hour Chase Ends With 3 Delco Men In Custody: State Police

Pennsylvania State Police said three Delaware County men were arrested after they led troopers on a chase on Interstate 95 Monday morning.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A police chase that reached speeds of 100 mph ended with three Delaware County men being taken into custody recently, authorities said.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred at about 3 a.m. Monday on Interstate 85 south in Delaware County.

Troopers tried to stop a white 2006 BMW 330XI for traffic violations, but the vehicle sped off, police said.

The vehicle hit speeds of about 100 mph as it fled troopers, then got off the highway at Exit 2 for Market Street in Aston, police said.

At Market Street and Broadway Avenue in Aston, the vehicle slowed to about 50 mph, and police used a "Precision Immobilization Technique" to stop the vehicle, according to state police.

The driver and two others got out of the BMW and tried to run off, but all three were apprehended.

Taken into custody were two Linwood men, ages 18 and 19, and a 20-year-old Chester man. It's unclear what charges they are facing.
