2017 Primary Election: Media Borough Results

MEDIA, PA – Surely you ventured out to your local polling place Tuesday for the 2017 primary election. Now that voting is over, it's time to look at Media Borough's results.
There were races for tax collector, mayor, borough council, and Rose Tree Media School District board seats.
The tax collector and mayoral races only saw one party vying for spots, with Democrats Robert Dimond and incumbent Mayor Robert A. McMahon Jr. earning 774 and 778 votes, respectively. Republican write in candidates for each race received three votes.

Six Democrats threw their hats in the ring for borough council seats, those voters were allowed select just four candidates. No Republicans entered the field.
Sayre Dixon earned 563 votes; Amy Johnson 557 votes; Lisa Johnson 505; and Kevin J. Boyer 482 votes.

Write-in Republican candidates earned three votes.
Eight entered the race for seats on the Rose Tree Media School District board, with all but one – Republican Linda L. Fox – cross filing under both parties.
We'll break it down by party.
Democrats
- Kristin Seale – 2,387 votes;
- Susan Henderson-Utis – 2,336 votes;
- Theresa Napson-Williams – 2,074 votes;
- Robert Gildea Kelly – 1,882 votes.
Republicans
- Linda L. Fox – 2,047 votes;
- James Morrison – 1,926 votes;
- Tracy Brown Barusevicius – 1,682 votes;
- AnnMarie Koveal – 1,326 votes.
