2nd Annual Rock-N-Roll Car Show to Rock Media Saturday
Check out some cool cars and support a charity on Saturday.

A car show with a cause, the 2nd Annual Rock-N-Roll Car Show promises fun for the whole family, while profits benefit the victims of family trauma in Media.
The free, charity event, sponsored by Gibbons Automotive and Media Music Studio, runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 17 on the top floor of the Media Parking Garage on the corner of Baltimore Avenue and Olive Street.
The display of hot rods, classics, muscles and exotics will have car enthusiasts’ hearts pumping full throttle. And it’s no wonder, as heart is the real driving force behind this event. All proceeds will go to the Media Family Support Line, an organization working to educate and protect children from sexual abuse and other family trauma.

The Rock-N-Roll Car Show will feature live music, food, prizes and activities all in the spirit of family and community.
Gibbons Automotive Manager Walter Stamp hopes that the 2nd annual event will be even bigger and better than the previous year, which benefited the Media Fire Department.

"It was a growing period. We were still wet behind the ears," Stamp explained in a phone interview regarding last year’s event. "This year a lot more people have jumped on the band wagon. It’s wonderful."
One of the biggest developments since last year’s Rock-N-Roll show is the addition of online fundraising. Individuals can now visit the event website here, and make an online contribution directly to the Family Support Line to help the cause.
In addition to an increase in individual support, the number of sponsors is up from the previous year, with help from such businesses as Carol’s Auto Tags, Crozer-Keystone Health System, Five Below, the 401K Rollover Store, Jasper Engines and Transmissions, Professional Duplicating, Tattoos by RC and State Farm agent Ray Willoughby.
The family friendly event is sure to bring joy to the community, for attendees and on a grander scale.
