$50M Suit Filed In State Police Killing Of Delco Man
Family and friends of Anthony Allegrini filed a $50 million lawsuit against the Pennsylvania State Police Trooper who shot and killed him.

GLEN MILLS, PA — Anthony Allegrini Jr. was 18-years-old when he was shot and killed by Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Robert Sobeck Jr. at a car meet up on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia in June 2023.
Authorities allege Allegrini, of Glen Mills, struck two troopers with his vehicle before being fatally shot.
Now, the man's family and his friends are suing Sobeck and other unnamed members of the Pennsylvania State Police force, seeking $50 million, in connection with his death.

A federal lawsuit filed last week alleges Sobeck and others prevented medical care for Allegrini, allowing him to die on the highways the morning of June 4, 2023. It also alleges Sobeck and other troopers did not provide medical care to Allegrini after Soback shot him in the chest "without any probable cause."

His friends — Giovanni Patete, Vincent Tribuiani, and William Soper — were forced to watch him bleed to death while they were handcuffed nearby, according to the suit.
The suit also alleges Sobeck and others violated the Fourth Amendment rights of Allegrini's friends, who were in the vehicle with him when he was shot.
