Acme In Media Gets Approval To Sell Wine
Grocery stores in Media, Glen Mills and Havertown are among the Delaware County locations with new approval to sell wine.

Local retailers have been quick to capitalize on the new liquor reform laws recently passed in Pennsylvania.
The new law, approved in June and effective since Aug. 8, means approved grocery stores, restaurants and hotels can now sell up to four bottles of wine for takeout.
Three stores in Delaware County have already received approval, including Acme on Baltimore Pike in Media.

The day the law went into effect, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board began accepting requests for various new licenses and permits allowed under the new legislation. So far, according to Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Director of Communications Elizabeth Brassell, 84 applications for expanded wine sales have been approved.
More stores will be added to the list as approvals continue.
