Can a Friendly Guy in a Shiny Food Cart be a Landmark?
No branding. No marketing. No advertising. He does it simply by being there...EVERYDAY!
Here in Media we have a lot of choices. We could lunch at the counter of Mrs. Marty's Deli, we could stop in for a salad at the Salad Stop. There are caffinated choices at the Koffee Korner, Franklin Mint Credit Union or Seven Stones Cafe. We have fresh soft pretzels in many establishments open for lunch like Wawa, O'Malley's and Rose's News Stand.
With all of the charm that Media brings to the patrons of our County Seat, the ever charming and always satisfying would be, Augie Pantellas. The food cart they run in the front of the Media Courthouse serving hot and cold lunch and snack items. With a song and a smile Augie has been posted up in front of our justice system serving a fresh cup of coffee, a perfectly cooked hot dog, ice cold soda or a nice fresh soft pretzel (Philly style).
I see a lot of stories about the new owners of properties in Media. How one concept comes in and three months later it's gone. Augie has lasted through the rain, sleet, snow and occasional politico rolling into "Everybody's Home Town" for their photo op and our small town seal of approval.

I hope if you get a chance, or a hankering for a good hot dog, you'll lunch with Augie and stick around long enough to hear his stories of the "Good 'Ol Days" in the ring!
