County Council Chairman Tom McGarrigle announced that Council will meet in Bethel Township as part of ongoing efforts to enhance communication with residents by taking their meetings out into the community.

The township is mentioned in history accounts as early as 1683.
In January, the Bethel Township supervisors and the Bethel Preservation Society unveiled new display cases in the township building that house artifacts from Bethel’s history, including arrowheads, cannon balls, Indian tools and an original lock from the old Booth’s Corner Store.
