'In The Men's Room' with Ann Crumb, Tom Fosnocht Returns to Media Theatre April 7

Songs made famous by men are the focus along with Ms. Crumb's stories of life in the theatre

After a February concert weekend was cut short due to an unforeseen circumstance, Tony nominated actress Ann Crumb returns to The Media Theatre Sunday April 7 at 3:30pm for another performance of her intimate, memorable and moving "In The Men's Room" concert.

The show features Media Theatre's resident Music Director Tom Fosnocht on keyboards--he also sings a special number--and is directed by Artistic Director Jesse Cline.

The presentation is inspired by a life in the theatre in which her experiences in Broadway shows such as “Les Miserables” and “Aspects of Love” combine with song selections to create a showcase of memorable music and stories of a life spent on the stage.

Crumb's concert is titled “In The Men’s Room” due to its focus on songs written for and made famous by men. Ann Crumb has appeared on The Media Theatre stage in “Master Class”, “Souvenir”, and “Wings”. In those critically acclaimed productions she was also directed by Cline, who came up with the concept for her concert.

Nominated for the Tony Award when she appeared in “Anna Karenina”, Ann Crumb is also well known for creating the role of Rose in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Aspects of Love” both when it appeared in London’s West End and on Broadway. She has appeared on almost every regional theatre stage in the Philadelphia region and recently won a Best Actress Award for her work in “Sunset Boulevard” in Colorado. She is the recipient of a Barrymore Award and an Arts Recognition Award.

Her television credits include “Law and Order” and “One Life to Live”. She has performed in concerts around the world and on her father George Crumb’s Grammy winning 70th Birthday album.

“The songs will be a selection of great numbers from composers such as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, and Richard Rodgers,” Crumb said. “The concert will be reflective of my experiences and my memories of performing on some of the world’s great stages.”
