NY Daily News: Media Theatre is Delco's Cultural Anchor
Philadelphia Cultural Alliance also mentions The Media Theatre on WHYY.

In an article entitled "Road Trip: Delaware County" in the Living section of the New York Daily News published Monday, Oct. 8, the Media Theatre is named "the county's cultural anchor." The article also refers to Media's restaurant row.
In a separate media outlet, Tom Kaiden of The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance also mentioned the theatre and the restaurants on State Street, explaining the fact that due to The Media Theatre's huge boost to the local economy—and in assisting greatly in making the borough of Media a destination—State Street, along with its businesses and restaurants, experienced a "renaissance" of sorts during the past decade.

This is not the first time The Media Theatre has received national and regional recognition. In 2010, it was featured in an interview with Artistic Director Jesse Cline in the New York Times as he prepared for the production of "Annie" which starred Emmy winner Wanda Sykes. In 2011, Justin Guarini's starring role as Billy Flynn in "Chicago" propelled The Media Theatre to national attention in the USA Today.
The Media Theatre is a member of the Actors Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers based in Manhattan. It is a non-profit organization, which is very appreciative of its supporters and patrons.
"Today, we reached another milestone," said Cline. "This mention in the New York Daily News along with the recent praise of Tom Kaiden on WHYY allows us to march forward with confidence and appreciation. We are so very, very thankful."
The Media Theatre's 2012-13 Broadway Series Season continues with "Hairspray" now through November 4. Following that, Bill Vargus appears as "Dr. Dolittle" November 20-January 27. The Philadelphia Zoo will join the theatre on Saturday afternoons in December with it's Zoo On Wheels.
