Rose Tree Colts 2012 Homecoming and Field Dedication

Homecoming at The Rose Tree Colts this Saturday.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, at noon the Rose Tree Colts will have a field dedication and naming to honor its founder, Chief Bill Hampton.

Bill Hampton was the long time Chief of police in Upper Providence Township. With the help of his late son, Bill Jr., they started the Colts in 1955. The Chief has been a constant figure at practices and games and to this day, can be found watching the kids working hard to learn their sport.

In his 90's now, the Chief loves the community involvement and how the Colts have grown from their humble beginnings to what they've become now.

The Colts would like to invite the entire community to come and enjoy the day. The ceremony will be at the field behind Rose Tree Elementary School on First Avenue in Upper Providence.
