Believe it or not, there are still buyers out there during the winter months. Buyers who are serious and ready to move on their dream home. However, those shopping during the winter months do face quite a few challenges. And these challenges could be a good incentive for homeowners who are on the fence about listing their home during this time of year.

The biggest challenge, a lack of inventory. The majority of buyers ready, willing, and able to buy find they do not have many options to choose from during the winter months. A seller putting their home on the market now could benefit from a possible larger pool of buyers, depending on their area.

What are the benefits for buyers looking to move in the winter? Many believe winter is a good time to buy because sellers are motivated to sell and are more willing to negotiate. Buyers also face less competition in pursuit of a good deal on that dream home.
