Another season of CYO sports is about to get underway throughout the area. The parish of Nativity BVM in Media still has a strong and vibrant sports program well after their parish school closed and they lost their building for a year to the Rose Tree Media School District. Well, they persevered and came out of everything just fine. Just recently they got procession of their gym back and restored it to all its past glory. Their kids are preparing for the opening of cross country season, and they have two teams opening up their volleyball season tomorrow night at the Media Youth Center. On September 16, they will host their 9th annual golf outing at Paxon Hallow Country Club. All revenue generated from hole sponsors funds their entire program. Being a self financed program, this outing is extremely important to their success. Nativity BVM's CYO is looking for hole sponsors from the Media community, which has been tremendously supportive over the years. CYO athletics has a long and storied history and it continues to this day in almost every parish around. Good luck to all the kids as they start their school year.
