Stuffed Animals Donated To Delco Child Victims Of Crime

A holiday toy drive yielded more than 70 stuffed to comfort children who may be in stressful situations or suffered abuse and neglect.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA – Child victims of crime in Delaware County have a bit of respite thanks to donations from a toy drive.

Springfield Township Police Department and Delaware County Women Against Rape (DCWAR) joined District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland to accept a donation from the Springfield Literacy K-1 Center’s Home and School Board.

The Springfield Literacy K-1 Center’s Home and School Board held the holiday drive which collected more than 70 stuffed animals.

Bringing both happiness and comfort, the teddy bears and stuffed animals provide a tool for police and victim advocates in their daily efforts to help comfort children who may be in stressful situations or children who have suffered abuse and neglect.
