DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — After Democrats swept the Delaware County Council races on Nov. 5, giving total control of the county council to Democrats, the all-blue group has set up a transition website as they prepare to take their seats.
The Delaware County Council Transition Team Wednesday launched the Delco Transition website in an effort to improve transparency and encourage public participation in government.
The team is led by Councilmen Brian Zidek and Kevin Madden, alongside Councilwomen-elect Monica Taylor, Elaine Schaefer, and Christine Reuther.

"Voters across Delaware County overwhelmingly voted for change, demanding transparency, ethics, and accountability be brought back to local government," Zidek said. "We are here to work for you and we are proud to launch the Delco Transition Website, inviting community members to help us shape the future of Delaware County."
The website calls for public applications for working groups which will tackle the issues most pressing to the county, including the Census, Public Health and Safety, Election Security, Government Administration, Natural Resources, Criminal Justice Reform, Government Accountability, and more.
