Delco Man Had Hundreds Of Child Porn Images, Videos: Authorities

The 21-year-old Delaware County man allegedly shared, received, and possessed more than 600 images and videos of child pornography.

More than 600 images and videos of graphic child pornography were transported, received, and possessed by a 21-year-old Delaware County man, leading to federal charges being filed against him, according to authorities.

U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain announced Friday, June 1 that Ryan Davis, 21, of Thornbury Township and formerly of Glen Mills, was charged by indictment with transporting, receiving, and possessing child pornography.

Davis is alleged to have owned a collection of more than 600 images and videos of children being sexually assaulted and depicted in sexually explicit positions on various dates in 2016 and 2017.

He was charged following an investigation into his online activities involving the use of Dropbox and other online accounts to sexually exploit children, federal authorities said.

If convicted, Davis faces a maximum possible sentence of 60 years' in prison, which includes a five-year mandatory minimum term of imprisonment, five years up to a lifetime of supervised release, and $750,000 in fines, according to McSwain's office.

"Child exploitation is a horrendous crime, and we have to do everything in our power to stop it," McSwain said. "That’s why these cases are a priority, as is ensuring that the offenders are held fully accountable."

The case was investigated by the FBI and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
