Delco Man, Local Musician, Remains Missing

It's been several days since Delaware County's John Morphet was last seen. Police are asking for the public's help in finding him.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Delaware County man and local musician has not been seen for several days, and police are asking for the public's help in finding him.

John Morphet, 52, has not been seen since Friday, March 15 when he left the first block of War Trophy Drive in Middletown on foot.

He brought no wallet and no cell phone along with him, according to a missing persons report.

He was wearing a black windbreaker when he was last seen.

Family members said that his father and brother passed away suddenly in the past month, and he was distraught.

Those who knew him described him as a kind and widely loved man. He is a drummer in a ska-reggae band, "Jimmy Shoe and the Shine," that plays locally.

It was not clear which direction he was headed in or if he had a destination in mind.

A Facebook group has been launched to help in the search.
