Delco Reminds Residents Of Oct 18 Voter Registration Deadline

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The deadline to register for the upcoming municipal election is looming, and Delaware County officials are reminding residents to register before it's too late.

Election Day is Nov. 2, but the last day to register is Monday, Oct. 18.

To vote in Delaware County, voters must be a United States citizen and live at their registration address at least 30 days before the election and must be 18 years of age or older on or before Election Day.

Voter registration forms may be submitted on-line, in-person, or by mail.

There is no guarantee that a voter registration application mailed this week will be received and processed by the Oct. 18 deadline.

Those already registered at their current address do not need to take further action.

Forms received after the deadline—regardless of the postmark date—cannot be processed for the Nov. 2 election. Voters who need to register for the first time or update their name or address can go online here no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday or in-person no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday at the county's Media Voter Service Center at the Government Center Building, 201 W. Front St. in Media. The building is open 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Citizens registering in-person are reminded to bring two forms of identifications, at least one of which shows the voter’s current address, such as a Pennsylvania driver’s license, PennDOT ID, current bank statement, pay stub, or utility bill.
