The concert features DUNCAN STEARNS on organ, piano and harp and a community festival choir under the direction of KRISTIN HUGHEY. CAROL LATIMER, a noted soprano soloist, will also participate.
Among the variety of classical and sacred music will be three choral anthems specifically chosen to mark the conclusion of Reformation's 60th year. "O God Our Help in Ages Past" (written for the state funeral of President Gerald Ford) by Mack Wilberg; "Beautiful Savior" arranged by Derek Hakes; and "A Mighty Fortress," by noted Lutheran composer Paul Christiansen.
DUNCAN STEARNS appeared as organ recitalist at Washington's National Cathedral at age 18, and at Macy's John Wanamaker Organ, as well. He is a member of the music faculty at Eastern Univ. in St. Davids.
