In this brilliant comedy by Yasmina Reza, an unusual piece of modern art tests the longtime friendship of three Parisian men, Serge, Marc and Yvan. Serge is thrilled with his purchase of an expensive avant garde painting, Marc thinks Serge has lost his mind, and Yvan tries to mediate between the other two. The painting becomes a catalyst for a fascinating examination of male friendship and what constitutes art. Art won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play.
