International Ballet Classique Announces A Master Class Taught by Brooke Moore

Media, PA- International Ballet Classique is pleased to announce that Ms. Brooke Moore will conduct a Master Classs on Saturday April 14 from 10 am to 12 noon.

Ms. Moore began her ballet studies at age eight. She continued her studies with the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet under the direction of Jean Gedeon. Ms. Moore studied at the Chautauqa Institution and American Ballet Theatre.

At the age of 15 she moved to California to train with the San Francisco Ballet School. After one year, Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson offered Ms. Moore an apprenticeship with the company. In 1999, she was promoted to the Corps de Ballet. While with the company for eight years, she performed numerous soloist and lead roles in many ballets including George Balanchine's Symphony in Three Movements, Symphony in C, and The Four Temperaments; William Forsythe's Artifact Suite; Mark Morris' Pacific and Sylvia; Lew Christenen's The Nutcracker; Jerome Robbins' Glass Pieces; and Helgi Tomasson's Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake. Ms. Moore has also worked with renowned choreographers such as Paul Taylor, Christopher Wheeldon, Mark Morris, William Forsythe, Lar Lubovitch, David Bintley, and Lila York.

Ms. Moore joined Pennsylvania ballet in 2007 and was promoted to Soloist for the 2008-2009 Season. Since joining the Company, Ms. Moore has performed featured roles in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker (Dewdrop, Sugarplum Fairy, and Coffee), The Four Temperaments (Second Theme), Concerto Barocco (2nd Violin),Agon (First Pas de Trois), and Who Cares?; Ben Stevenson's Cinderella (Fairy Godmother); William Forsythe's,The Vertiginous Thrill  of Exactitude; and Matthew Neenan's As Its Going. In 2011, she performed the principal role of Odette/Odile in Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake.
