Revolutionary War Camp & Skirmish

Learn about how a local farm dealt with the turbulent times of May 1778. The British have occupied Philadelphia since the winter. Food is getting scarce and there are many British and American foraging parties roaming the countryside. The two sides meet at the Pratt farm in Edgemont Township. Witness the ongoing skirmishes for control of the farm. There will also be hearth cooking, woodworking, rifle demonstrations, textile demonstrations, garden and house tours.

Participating Units:  17th Light Dragoons, mounted calvary soldiers & Chester County militia from the Colonial Plantation.
