10-Mile Chase In Delco Leads To Driver, Passenger Arrests: Police

Pennsylvania State Police last month chased a vehicle for 10 miles on Interstate 95 north in Delaware County after it failed to stop.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Philadelphia man was taken into custody in late November after leading state authorities on a 10-mile chase, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

According to state police, the incident unfolded at about 12:44 a.m. on Nov. 24 near mile marker 10 on Interstate 95 north in Delaware County

Authorities saw a white Dodge Charger with no registration nearly strike a tow truck on I-95 north near the Philadelphia International Airport in Tinicum Township.

Troopers tried to stop the vehicle, but it sped off, leading troopers to chase it.

Police said the Dodge became disabled about 10 miles up the highway and its driver, Melvin Kaloko, 24, of Philadelphia was taken into custody. He was charged with fleeing and eluding police, according to state police.

Authorities said a passenger was also taken into custody. That passenger, Abubakar Sheriff, had a warrant for his arrest in Montgomery County, police said.
