Knife Attack Injures Delaware County University Student Friday: Reports
A Widener University student was attacked by a knife-wielding person early Friday morning in Chester.
CHESTER, PA — A student at a Delaware County university was attacked by a knife-wielding assailant while they walked their dog early Friday morning, according to reports.
The attack occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Friday 18th and Market streets in Chester, NBC10 reports.
The victim, a student of Widener University, was walking their dog when they encountered another person who was also walking a dog, according to Fox 29.

An argument ensued, and the assailant attacked the student with a knife, causing "superficial wounds," the university told local news outlets.
The assailant then ran through a nearby campus parking lot and left the campus, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

After the attack, Widener locked down its campus, but lifted the lockdown at about 2 a.m., Action News reports.
