Man Wanted In Deadly 2023 Shooting On I-95 in Delaware County

While one man was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, Daryl Eugene Beckett, 35, of Chester, is still wanted, police said.

UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — Pennsylvania State Police have made an arrest in a 2023 double shooting that killed one. Another person is still wanted.

Authorities said Ronald Collins, 36,of Chester, was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police Dec. 12 in connection with an Oct. 7, 2023 shooting on Interstate 95 in Upper Chichester. Police said Daryl Eugene Beckett, 35, of Chester, is wanted and should be considered armed and dangerous.

At about 1:22 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2023, police were called to mile marker 1.6 on I-95 north for a report of a shooting.

Troopers found Chris Gordy dead from multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle on the highway. A passenger was also found in the vehicle also suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators eventually identified Collins and Beckett as suspects in the shooting.

Both are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, and firearm violations.
