Multiple Rear-End Collisions Reported Across Delaware County
Pennsylvania State Police reported five separate vehicle incidents in Delaware County between November 2025 and February 2026.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Pennsylvania State Police responded to five separate vehicle crash incidents in Delaware County between November 2025 and February 2026. These incidents occurred in Upland Borough, Concord Township, Chadds Ford Township, Nether Providence Township, and Tinicum Township.
On Nove. 29, 2025, a hit-and-run crash occurred on I-95 North in Upland Borough. One vehicle struck the rear of another, causing minor damage. Both units pulled over, but the striking vehicle fled the scene. Krishnan Ramanathan, 62, of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, was driving the struck vehicle and reported no injuries. Trooper Joshua Padua investigated the incident.
On Dec. 16, 2025, a fatal crash took place on Wilmington Westchester Pike in Concord Township. A 2026 Honda CRV, struck the rear of a 2018 Honda Accord, multiple times after the Accord applied its brakes due to a traffic backlog. The CRV's driver was found unresponsive upon police arrival and was pronounced dead by Riddle Hospital staff. The CRV sustained functional front-end damage, and Accord sustained functional rear-end damage. The Accord driver did not report any injuries. Trooper Joshua Padua investigated.

On Jan. 17, a hit-and-run crash occurred on Wilmington West Chester Pike in Chadds Ford Township. A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, struck the rear of a 2024 Subaru Impreza. The crash was attributed to heavy snow conditions and a slippery roadway. Both units remained at the scene for approximately two hours, but the Jeep left without exchanging information. The Subaru's driver later arrived at the PSP Media Station to file a report. A follow-up investigation will be conducted to the registered address of Jeep. Trooper Ahmed Hassan investigated.
On Feb. 6, a crash occurred at the intersection outside of Wegmans on Applied Bank Boulevard in Chadds Ford Township. David R. Rudman, 45, of West Chester, operating a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, failed to clear an intersection after a stop sign. The driver's side doors of the Camarao struck the front left bumper of a 2021 BMW 750, driven by Orsenio E. Robinson, 35, of Collingdale. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Rudman refused transport from EMS. Trooper Collin Nissley investigated.

On Feb. 15, a two-vehicle crash occurred on I-95 North in Tinicum Township. A 2009 Toyota Tacoma driven by Ethan S. Burr, 19, of Downingtown, struck a 2022 Mercedes-Benz 350 Series driven by Elango-Nnoko V. Elango, 60, of Cochranville. Elango was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. The Tacoma had front bumper damage, and the Mercedes-Benz had rear bumper damage. Trooper Matthew Gonzalez investigated.
