Murder, More Charges Filed In Teen's Deadly Delco Shooting

CHESTER, PA — A teenager has been taken into custody on murder and related charges in connection with the fatal shooting of another teenager in Delaware County that occurred over the summer.

The City of Chester Police Department said they took Jesse Allen Jr., 18, into custody Thursday in Media.

Allen was wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 24th and Crosby streets in Chester.

Chester Police were called to the area for a report of shots being fired, then learned the shooting had a victim.

There, police found Zaheem Sabree, 17, on the 100 block of East 24th Street with a gunshot wound to his head.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Allen is charged with first degree murder, firearm violations, aggravated assault, and more crimes, court documents show.

He is being held without bail and is scheduled for a Jan. 27 preliminary hearing, court records show.
