New Super Wawa Opens In Media

In celebration of it's grand opening, the hometown convenience store donated funds to the county to help give food to at risk families.

MEDIA, PA – A new super Wawa opened in Media recently, offering gas pumps, outdoor seating, on site parking, food, and more.

Delaware County officials were on hand July 28 to help roll out the new store.

Wawa presented a $25,00 check to County Councilman Dave White and DA Jack Whelan.

The funds will be out toward DIFAN, through Delaware County's Family & Community Service (F&CS) and Department of Human Services which provides food assistance to at-risk families.

The new super Wawa is located at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue, Providence Road and State Street in Media.

While it is two stories, the second floor is not functional and was added to meet borough requirements, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
