Pedestrian Killed In Delaware County Crash Sunday

A 27-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning on Route 202 in Concord, Pennsylvania State Police said.

CONCORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 27-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on a Delaware County highway over the weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The crash occurred at about 3:36 a.m. Sunday on Route 202 in Concord Township.

Police said Ankur Bansal, 27, was in a vehicle that stopped on the highway and got out of it.

Bansal was standing in the right southbound lane of Route 202, police said.

A Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by James Tillett Jr., 56, was heading south in the same lane of Route 202 and struck Bansal, police said.

Bansal suffered fatal injuries and died as a result of the crash.

Tillett was unharmed.

Action News reports Tillett remained on scene.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash further.
