Recount Petition Filed In Delaware County: Report
Democrat Mary Ellen Balchunis, who lost her 7th Congressional District bid to incumbent Pat Meehan, filed the petition, reports say.
An election recount petition has been filed in Delaware County by Mary Ellen Balchunis, who ran a failed bid to unseat incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Pat Meehan (PA-7) this year, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
The outlet reports its is unknown if the petition will be considered a county- or precinct-level petition.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of State, Hillary Clinton won 60 percent of the vote in Delaware County while President-elect Donald Trump won 37 percent.

Clinton topped Trump in overall votes 177,402 to 110,667, according to the state.
Balchunis lost to Meehan with a results of 58 percent of the vote (123,514 votes) to 42 percent (87,951 votes).

Bucks County has had recount petitions filed as well.
Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein has been leading recount efforts in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
