Riddle Hospital Offers 'Walk-In Wednesdays' for Mammograms
Walk-in to Riddle Hospital on Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to get a mammogram.

A new service at will make life easier for busy women trying their best to multi-task, and it could help save their lives.
Riddle Hospital’s new Comprehensive Breast Center is offering "Walk-in Wednesdays" from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. so women have no more excuses, only good reasons to get their mammograms done.
Lynne Dix, RTRM who manages the Comprehensive Breast Center, considers fear to be a major reason why women will put off their annual mammograms.

"It could be the fear that a mammogram might be painful, which it's not...there's also fear of the unknown. There are some people that don't want to do self-exams because they're afraid of what they'll find," Dix advises. "But they have to understand that early diagnosis is key."
Annette Pierdomenico, RNC-OB,MSN is the Breast Care Coordinator at the center, and recommends early detection, since losing her own mother to the disease.

"Cancer is not the ominous diagnosis it was 10 years ago because of new technologies, medicines and support," says Pierdomenico. "So just grab a friend, dig out your prescription from your purse or drawer, and 'walk-in' to Riddle for your mammogram."
