Robber Hits Delco Bank Just Before Christmas, Charges Filed: Police

Police in Ridley Township took a New Jersey man into custody after they said he robbed a bank on Saturday, just before Christmas.

RIDLEY TOWNSHIP, PA — A New Jersey man is in custody in Delaware County after police said he robbed a bank branch on Saturday.

According to Ridley Township Police, the robbery occurred Saturday afternoon at the Citizens Bank in the Acme Market, 124 Morton Ave. in Folsom.

Police said a man made off with money from the bank after demanding money.

Authorities said they quickly identified the suspect as Andrew Redfield Sr., 55, of Pennsauken, New Jersey.

He was taken into custody within hours of the robbery incident, police said.

Redfield has been charged with two counts of felony robbery, terroristic threats, theft, and receiving stolen property.

He is being held on 10 percent of $250,000 bail and is scheduled for a Jan. 8, 2024 preliminary hearing.
