Sports Museum to Open at Mall on Sunday

The Mickey Vernon Sports Museum will honor Delaware County's finest athletes.

The grand opening of the Mickey Vernon Sports Museum at the Granite Run Mall will be held at 1 p.m. on April 21 on the mall’s upper level.

The museum, which was previously located in Chadds Ford, is named after the Delaware County native who had a legendary baseball career for more 20 years, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

The museum will honor Delco's finest athletes and play host to rare memorabilia, artifacts, photos and videos of local sports legends, past and present, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
