State Trooper, Woman Hurt In Interstate 95 Hit-And-Run In Delco

A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper and a woman were hurt when a hit-and-run driver struck the cruiser and sped off in Chester Sunday.

CHESTER, PA — A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper and a civilian were hurt in a crash on Interstate 95 in Delaware County Sunday, according to reports.

The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. on Interstate 95 South in Chester, according to Action News.

NBC10 reports the trooper was investigating a two-car crash and was sitting in his cruiser waiting for a tow truck when his cruiser was struck.

Another vehicle struck the driver's side of the cruiser and sped off, Fox 29 reports.

The trooper was taken to Riddle Hospital for minor injuries and released, and a woman, whose role in the incident is unclear, was also hurt with moderate injuries, reports state.
